Our hearts go out to everyone that has been affected by the devastating flooding that has occurred in Nebraska and Iowa. The impact of the flooding in our community will be felt for a long time. Many groups are organizing to provide much-needed help to those affected. I cannot recall a time when the GPR has ever formed a volunteer team to help those in our club in this way. I am writing to our membership today to explore the level of interest for putting together such a team. If you have any interest in helping, please contact me and I will start to assemble a list of potential volunteers.
If you are a GPR/PCA member and you have suffered damage from the floods, we would like to know who you are and what kind of help you need. Please contact me and I will create a list of our members that could use our help.
If we are able to put a team together, it is important for me to state that we will do so as a group of friends performing a community service. This will not be an official GPR/PCA event and PCA insurance will not be in effect. We will all be on our own just trying to make a difference in our community.
