Virtual Food Drive
to benefit the
Food Bank for the Heartland 

from February 21st – February 27th

It’s time for the GPR to get out and help our community. Our goal is to raise $2,500 for the food drive. If every GPR member would give at least $25 we would make our goal. Please be generous in your giving. 

If you would prefer to make your donation in person then a second option to support this event will be an in-person food drive on Saturday, February 27th from 10am – 12pm at the driveway of our Kurt & Melinda Halvorson: 1217 N. 129th Circle, Omaha. Our Board members will be there to greet you (using Covid protocol) and get your food items, contact-free. Just drive up, pop open your trunk, and we’ll be happy to get your donation. 

Some of the most needed items are:

During Fiscal Year 2020, Food Bank for the Heartland distributed more than 28 million meals – the most in their organization’s 39-year history! These meals nourished food-insecure children, families, seniors and veterans across Nebraska and western Iowa. 

This record number of meals would not be possible without the outpouring of support from people like you! You can help provide critical meals during this unprecedented time of need. The Food Bank will use the funds to purchase food items that are most needed, including fruits, vegetables and perish- able items such as meat and dairy products. For every dollar donated to the Food Bank, three meals are provided.
