On Saturday, March 23, a visit has been scheduled at the Museum of American Speed located at 599 Oakcreek Drive, Lincoln, NE, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.. The Museum has been voted #1 by USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Award as Best Attraction for Car Lovers. It was founded in 1992 by “Speedy” Bill and Joyce Smith and moved to its current location in 2001. This 150,000 square foot museum was formed to present a continuous chronology of automotive racing engines and speed equipment development to preserve, interpret and display items of significance in racing and automotive history.
We will meet at the Museum in Lincoln at 9:15. Admission is $10 per person. Arrangements have been made for Museum volunteers to provide guided tours of the Museum and its displays for us. Following our Museum tour, for those interested, we will share lunch (at member cost) and discuss our reactions to the Museum. Participation will be limited to the first 30 individuals to register. One spouse or guest per member is welcome to register.
Click here to register. The event is now at capacity.
