Greek Isles Dinner Event

Unfortunately, we have been advised that our host at the private Union Pacific Museum will undergo a medical procedure that requires us to reschedule our museum tour. Nevertheless, we plan to proceed with dinner at Greek Isles Restaurant.

A Great Plains Region social event is scheduled for March 25 at the Greek Isles Restaurant Party Room, 3821 Center Street in Omaha. Happy Hour will begin at 6:00 p.m. (cash bar) followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. at each member’s cost. Because we expect a good turn out for this dinner, Greek Isles has asked us to order from a limited dinner menu. Below is the suggested dinner menu:

Athenian Salad – Small $8.25, Medium $9.25, Large $10.25
Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Cucumbers, Green Peppers, Feta Cheese, and Kalamata Olives topped Homemade House Dressing. Served with Orsi’s Bread and Butter.

Gyro Sandwich – $9.50
Gyro meat roasted on a vertical spit, thinly sliced, topped wit onions, tomatoes, and Tzatziki Sauce. Served on a Pita

Gyro Platter – $11.50
Larger version of above with Feta and olives.

Pikilia (Combination Dinner) $20.25
A plate full of homemade Greek classics: Chicken Riganato, Dolmathes, original Souviaki (pork), Greek potatoes, and your choice of Pastichio or Moussaka. Served with a side salad.

Chicken Riganato 1/4 chicken $12.99
Chicken baked to perfection with lemon, olive oil, and oregano served with Greek potatoes. Served with a side salad.

Kebabs – $18.99
Two skewers of tender chunks of chicken OR pork, marinated and grilled to perfection. Served on a bed of rice with a generous side of broccoli. Served with a side salad.

Vegetarian Falafel – $11.99
Homemade Falafel created from Dr. Z’s secret family recipe, traditional blend that is second to none. Served on a Pita with green peppers, red onions, cucumbers, and lettuce; your choice of Tahini or Mint Feta dipping sauce. Served with a side salad.
