NOTE: There will be no Porsches & Pancakes in April.
Join us at Porsche Omaha (6625 L Street, Omaha) on Saturday, April 6th, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. for DE 101 and Chalk Talk.
Hosted again by Porsche Omaha, on Saturday, April 6th we are bringing back our popular DE 101 event this year for drivers who are looking to do their first DE, and we will be expanding the format to include topics for our experienced DE drivers as well.
As in previous editions, we will cover all the 101 basics for those interested in doing their first DE. From getting registered to what the day will be like, we’ll make sure you are ready. For our advanced DE drivers, we are adding a Tech discussion on Porsche electronic driver aids that will be covered by Porsche Omaha’s very own Andy Hipwell, service manager extraordinaire. Included in the Tech segment will be an overview on the various aspects of tire pressure and how you can approach this black art on track days, and we’ll cover the original nannies employed by non-electronically aided Porsches and their drivers.
The Chalk-Talk segment (no real chalk board for this one-that’s where chalk-talk comes from) will be a discussion on driving line, corner anatomy and the mechanics that facilitate a good line, like braking points, turn-in, throttle, brake control and trail braking. Our discussion track will be RPM in Iowa.
We hope to see you there. This event is for everyone! Coffee and donuts will be served. The session will begin 9:00 am and there will be plenty of time to view the Porsche eye candy in the showroom.
