Legends of Speed

Photos and article by Kurt Halvorson The Phoenix Art Museum is currently hosting, (through March 10th), an exhibit of prominent racing cars, including turn of the (20th) century cars up through the 1970s.  Access is managed through a time stamp on your ticket, so a limited number of people are in the exhibit at any point in time.  That said, there is no limit on the amount of time you can spend looking, which was a good thing, as we spent nearly two hours enjoying the roughly 22 cars on display. Many groups are organizing to provide much-needed help to those affected. I cannot recall a time when the GPR has ever formed a volunteer team to help those in our club in this way. I am writing to our membership today to explore the level of interest for putting together such a team. If

2019 Great Plains Region Annual Winter Party

The Great Plains Region opted for a change of venue this year and held its Annual Winter Party at The Champions Run Country Club on Saturday, January 19th. The new venue worked very well with over 80 members and guests attending. We kicked off the evening with cocktails and the usual Porsche banter, with many conversations focused on who was working on what and when was it going to warm up enough for a drive. Joe Chambers, our incoming Club President, welcomed members and their guests, covered highlights of the
